Laparoscopic sleeve gastrectomy is gaining popularity as a primary weight loss operation in select patients. Currently our protocol includes a swallow study the first post-operative day. This study helps delineate the geometry of the pouch and ensures that everything is optimal prior to starting the post-operative diet.
