Dr. Belsley is preparing to perform an intestinal to intestinal connection with laparoscopic surgery. The instruments for laparoscopic surgery have limited degrees of movement and therefore the surgeon must compensate for this bedside. Robotic surgical instrumentation overcomes many of these limitations.
